After France, UK delivers another international embarrassment to the Trudeau administration

We have been telling you how Trudeau’s dictatorial policies have been garnering excessive criticism domestically. Time and again, Trudeau is facing setbacks, dissent and disapproval as more and more discontent is brewing for his leadership. But now, it’s not just Canadians, Trudeau’s authoritative policies are no more hidden from its international allies. It seems that receiving embarrassment is becoming a norm in today’s Canada.

Justin Trudeau’s administration has always been bashed by the conservative  leaders and the people of the country, but receiving foreign embarrassment is something Trudeau should not ignore with his ‘never mind attitude.’

Recently, a British MP accused Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government of violating Canadians’ civil freedoms during the Covid-19 outbreak. On October 24, Tory MP Danny Kruger made the remarks during a debate in Westminster Hall on the safety of the Covid-19 vaccination.

When it comes to human rights violations, Kruger branded Canada as one of the “worst offenders,” alongside communist China.

“Although many questions about our covid response need to be answered, the UK is by no means the worst offender,” said Kruger.

“We are not Canada, New Zealand or China—places where Governments think they can exterminate covid by depriving their population of the most basic civil liberties.”

Now, even foreign politicians are not sparing PM Trudeau’s blushes. The Liberal PM must be ashamed of how he is being viewed abroad.

According to statistics from the University of Oxford’s COVID-19 Government Response Tracker, Canada had some of the most restrictive lockdown rules.

Covid-19 measures adopted in Canada gave the country a stringency score of 75.46, trailing only China (78.24). Scores were calculated using a variety of characteristics such as school closures, gathering limits, and other factors.

Furthermore, this is not the first time a UK lawmaker has criticised the Liberal government for heavy-handed crackdowns on civil freedoms.

When Trudeau opted to utilise the Emergency Powers Act for the first time to crack down on peaceful Freedom Convoy protesters, UK MP Marcus Fysh accused him of deploying “authoritarian means.” The invocation of the Emergencies Act by Trudeau received global attention and was frowned upon.

Earlier, even Canada’s soft geopolitical stance came into question by France’s new ambassador Michel Miraillet. According to the National Post, France’s new ambassador Michel Miraillet has criticised the Federal Authorities for Canada’s decline in the world. As per him, Canada has grown too reliant on the U.S. and its massive defence machine.

Russia and China are expanding like there’s no tomorrow. And Macron’s man in Canada believes that if things continue in this direction, Canada will be reduced to a non-entity in the geopolitical sphere.

Reportedly, the ambassador has stressed that Canada has allowed its military presence worldwide to wither over the last decades and it needs to boost its defence capabilities as threats increase from the likes of China, Russia, and North Korea. The country is way too comfortable, way too comfortable”

Thus it won’t be wrong to say that ever since the country came into the hands of the woke leader it has been entering the red zone. His own countrymen, the leaders of the opposition and now even foreign politicians have raised concerns and alarmed Justin but since a leopard cannot change his spots, he seems to not be able to hear the warning bells.
