The Russia-Ukraine war has completed its one year recently. More than 20000 soldiers and 30000 civilians have lost their lives in the Russia-Ukraine war on both sides. Millions of children have lost their guardians and many a families and their loved ones.

But the insensitive NATO is in full mood to celebrate the anniversary of the Ukraine war. Amidst celebrations, it is getting increasingly inhuman and shameless.

In an odd Twitter thread, NATO compared the continuing fighting between Russia and Ukraine to popular culture series like Harry Potter and Star Wars.

In the tweet, NATO said “Ukraine is hosting one of the great epics of this century ❝We are Harry Potter and William Wallace, the Na’vi and Han Solo. We’re escaping from Shawshank and blowing up the Death Star. We are fighting with the Harkonnens and challenging Thanos”

Prior to the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion, US President Joe Biden paid a surprise visit to Ukraine in solidarity and provided a gift of $500 million in additional military supplies.

In Kyiv, Biden pledged an additional $500 million in US help, including anti-tank missiles, air surveillance radars, howitzer shells, and other items, but no brand-new cutting-edge weapons. Biden and Zelenskyy allegedly discussed “long-range weapons and the weapons that may still be given to Ukraine even if it was not previously supplied,” according to Zelenskyy. He did not specify any additional promises, though.

Comparing the real-life sacrifices of those martyred to the likes of Harry Potter and Star Wars shows how away from reality NATO is. Shameless! Isn’t it?
