In a daring move, Ukraine has added North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to its list of enemies, even contemplating his assassination. However, this audacious endeavor faces formidable challenges.
According to various media reports, the renowned Ukrainian government-affiliated website called ‘Mirotvorets’ has now included North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in its list of individuals deemed enemies of the state.
Mirotvorets alleges that Kim Jong-un is complicit in aiding Russian war criminals and asserts that “civilized nations” have imposed sanctions on him for purported human rights violations and nuclear coercion.
Kim Jong-un’s name on the website is listed as “Kim CHen Yn,” and this addition occurred earlier this month. The sole source cited by Mirotvorets for these accusations is a CNN report from November 2022, which featured statements from the White House claiming that North Korea was clandestinely supplying artillery shells to Russia.
Kim Jong Un’s addition to the Mirotvorets list coincides with his visit to Moscow, a visit celebrated by North Korean state news agency KCNA as a period of strengthened friendship and cooperation between North Korea (DPRK) and Russia.

However, this warming military relationship has raised concerns among the United States and its allies. These concerns are particularly pertinent as Russia continues its war in Ukraine while North Korea persists with its missile and nuclear programs.
Russia has actively promoted Kim Jong-un’s visit, suggesting potential military collaboration with North Korea. Given North Korea’s historical actions and Russia’s military capabilities, such cooperation is a matter of concern, at least for the West.
During his Moscow trip, Kim Jong-un also held discussions with Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu. He also visited Russia’s Pacific Sea Fleet, housing strategic nuclear submarines and other military vessels. Kim expressed gratitude for the fleet’s role in regional peace and security.
There have been speculations that Russia might seek North Korean assistance in its conflict with Ukraine, which has triggered Ukraine to include Kim Jong-un on its list of targets.

Website of Controversy: Unmasking the Enigma of Mirotvorets
Mirotvorets, the notorious website, is infamous for publishing the personal information of individuals deemed hostile to Ukraine by anonymous moderators. Those listed on the site bear a red “eliminated” label across their photos.
Notable figures such as NBC News correspondent Keir Simmons, adult film star Eva Elfie, and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev have found themselves blacklisted by Mirotvorets due to perceived actions against Ukraine.
Tragically, several individuals, including Ukrainian writer and historian Oles Buzina and politician Oleg Kalashnikov, have met untimely deaths after being declared enemies by Mirotvorets. Despite its controversial actions, Mirotvorets has largely escaped significant scrutiny from Kyiv’s Western supporters, operating since August 2014.
Ukraine’s relations with North Korea have become strained due to North Korea’s recognition of Russia’s annexed territories as part of Russia. This move drew strong criticism from Ukraine, leading the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to sever diplomatic relations with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, accusing them of undermining Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Assassination Ambitions: Ukraine’s Risky Plot Against Kim Jong Un
Adding to the tension are reports of artillery deliveries to Russia, which have further exacerbated the situation. In response, Ukraine has apparently set its sights on a controversial course of action, reportedly contemplating an assassination plot against North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
The success of such a plan remains uncertain and is laden with significant diplomatic, political, and ethical complexities.
Ukraine’s decision to include Kim Jong Un on their list appears to be a symbolic gesture reflecting their dissatisfaction, but it is highly unlikely that attempting to assassinate Kim Jong Un in his reclusive world would be successful.

The notion of assassinating a leader who dwells in his own secluded realm is nothing short of wishful thinking. Moreover, Kim is often regarded as one of the world’s most dangerous individuals. Zelensky’s aspiration to eliminate him is a tall order, to say the least.
Attempting such a feat would not only be extraordinarily challenging but could also provoke the wrath of North Korea, a nation not known for taking threats lightly. So here is some advice for you Mr. President, sometimes it’s better to stay put rather than act moron.
