New Zealand looks to cement ties with India

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon will visit India from March 16 to 20 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This marks his first visit to India as New Zealand’s Prime Minister. Luxon will travel to New Delhi and Mumbai before returning to Wellington.

During his visit, he will hold discussions with PM Modi on March 17, covering various aspects of India-New Zealand relations. Modi will also host a lunch in his honor, and Luxon is scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu on the same day.

Luxon will participate in the inaugural session of the 10th Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi as the Chief Guest, delivering the keynote address. He will also engage with Indian business leaders during his trip. On March 19-20, he will visit Mumbai for further interactions with business representatives and other stakeholders.

Accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers, senior officials, business leaders, media representatives, and members of the Indian diaspora in New Zealand, Luxon’s visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties. His trip highlights the enduring relationship between India and New Zealand, reinforcing commitments
