According to an FBI affidavit that was unsealed recently – A teenager from Wisconsin, who is accused of killing his parents, had also planned to kill US President Donald Trump and escape overseas. He wanted to blame Russia for the crime. This would have been the third Trump assassination attempt.
The teen, Nikita Casap, who is 17 years old, was charged last month with first-degree murder. Police found his mother and stepfather dead in their home in Waukesha. Both were shot in the head. After the murders, Casap fled the state in a stolen car. He was later caught in Kansas.
When police arrested Casap, he had $14,000 in cash, passports, and the family dog with him. Police also found an unloaded revolver, boxes of ammunition, and two cell phones in the car during the stop.
According to the FBI, Casap had written a manifesto. In the document, he talked about his plan to assassinate the president of the United States. The FBI affidavit says Casap was also speaking with other people about his plan to kill the president and bring down the US government.
The FBI believes Casap killed his parents to get the money and freedom he needed to carry out the attack on the president. They also claim he used some of the money to buy a drone and explosives, which were supposed to be used as a weapon. The FBI says the explosives were part of his plan for the attack.
The FBI found messages on Casap’s phone that showed he was talking with someone on the app Telegram about his plan. On January 21, he asked, “What country will be blamed for the crime?” The person replied, “Russia will be blamed for it, this is the goal.”
In other chats, Casap was speaking with a person using a Ukrainian phone number. They talked about what would happen after the attack. Casap asked, “How long will I need to hide before I will be moved to Ukraine? 1-2 months?” He also asked, “So while in Ukraine, I’ll be able to get a normal job and have a normal life? Even if when it’s found out I did it?”
During their search, agents also found screenshots of a three-page document named “Accelerate the Collapse.” Casap created this document on February 28. In it, he called for political violence and the assassination of the president. He believed this would create chaos in the US and protect the white race.
The document claimed that America must fall for the white race to survive. Casap also wrote that “Jewish-occupied governments” must collapse, starting with the US.
One part of the document explained why he picked Trump as the target. Casap wrote that killing the president and maybe the vice president would bring chaos. He believed it would also inspire others to believe assassination and political collapse were possible.
Casap is now in custody. His bail is set at $1 million. He faces two charges of first-degree intentional homicide and seven other felony charges. These include hiding a corpse and identity theft. Casap is expected to appear in court again on May 7.
Previously, Trump has already faced two assassination attempts during his election campaign for the president’s post.
