During the night between May 6 and 7, 2025, under Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army carried out coordinated strikes on nine terror-linked sites associated with banned outfits—Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen—located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Operation Sindoor was in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack that killed 26 innocent tourists based on their religion on April 22. The special operation was to avenge those innocent deaths. The name of the operation was “Sindoor” to give tribute to those Hindu women who lost their husbands in the barbaric attack in Pahalgam. Sindoor (red pigment made from powdered red lead, especially as applied as a dot on the forehead or in the parting of the hair of married Hindu women) is a very sacred thing in Hinduism for married women, and touching it with bad intentions brings consequences.
Pakistan- A Home of Global Jihadists/Terrorists
Terrorism is a global problem that has affected societies across the World. However, Pakistan has been a leading breeding ground for it. Civilians have been radicalized in terror camps with Jihadist ideologies, which have spread violence around the World and traumatized people across society.
Several terrorist outfits also operate in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), which not only act against India but also threaten the World. Previously, International terrorists such as Osama bin Laden (Founder of Al-Qaeda), Ayman al-Zawahiri (Successor to bin Laden as Al-Qaeda chief), Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (Principal architect of the 9/11 attacks), and Masood Azhar (Head of Jaish-e-Mohammed, JeM) have operated from Pakistan.
The House of Masood Azhar, a global terrorist, was destroyed.
Masood Azhar, a global terrorist and Head of Jaish-e-Mohammed, involved in which is responsible for numerous deadly attacks in India. These include the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, which brought India and Pakistan to the brink of war; the 2008 attacks in Mumbai (indirect support through coordination with Lashkar-e-Taiba); the 2016 Pathankot airbase attack; and the 2019 Pulwama suicide bombing, which killed 40 CRPF personnel and triggered the Balakot airstrikes by India.
In May 2019, after repeated attempts and a China-led delay at the United Nations, Masood Azhar was finally listed as a global terrorist by the UN Security Council. However, he continues to live in Bahawalpur under state protection, where he radicalizes civilians with Jihadist ideologies and provides terrorist training by mind-washing youths to attack people in India and the World.
Pakistan’s Contribution to Global Terrorism
In a targeted operation, Indian forces targeted Masood Azhar’s house in Bahawalpur in the Punjab province of Pakistan and destroyed it. According to local sources, at least 14 people have died, of whom 10 were his family members, and 4 of them were his close associates. In a statement issued on Wednesday, it has been claimed that among the dead are the elder sister of Maulana Masoud Azhar and her husband, Masoud’s nephews, and his wife, another nephew. The statement shows that a UN-designated terrorist lives in Pakistan with full protection of the state.
Recently, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, in a conversation with British media Sky News’ senior journalist Yalda Hakim, said, in clear words, “Yes, we have been doing this dirty work for America and Western countries, including Britain. It was our mistake, and we have suffered losses for it.” when Asif was asked, “Do you believe that Pakistan has a long history of training, funding and supporting terrorist organizations?”
The operation from the Indian side not only falls under the right to protect its citizens and sovereignty, but also a global responsibility towards a global war on terrorism. It is important to expose Pakistan, and its terrorist training camps in front of the whole World. The attack on the terrorist camps exposed Pakistan.
How did World leaders react to India’s Operation Sindoor?
World leaders around the World have supported India’s strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, voiced strong support for India’s right to self-defence on Wednesday.
In a post on X, he wrote, “Israel supports India’s right to self-defence. Terrorists should know there’s no place to hide from their heinous crimes against the innocent.
US President Donald Trump also supported India’s action against Pakistan. France and Japan have also criticized the act of terrorism from the side of Pakistan and have asked both nations to restrain from further escalation.
