With a whopping $735 million arms sale to Israel, Joe Biden has decided to stand up to the radicals in the party

US President Joe Biden has unleashed himself on the far-left extremists, so-called progressives and anti-Semitic elements in the Democratic party. The Biden administration has reportedly approved a $735 million arms sale to Israel, amidst the ongoing conflict between the Jewish nation and Hamas – the de facto governing authority of Gaza.

Now, if Biden cared even a little bit for pro-Palestine extremists in the Democratic Party like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), Ilhan Omar and Bernie Sanders, he wouldn’t have signed the deal. Biden was initially pandering to such far-left Democrats and his former boss Barack Obama- an Israel hater. He was going soft on Iran and giving a cold shoulder to Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu. But things have changed now.

As the Jewish nation is fighting a long-drawn battle against Hamas, Biden is following in Trump’s footsteps when it comes to Washington’s most important Middle East ally- Israel. Meanwhile, the far-left Democrats continue their anti-Israel agenda. So-called progressives like AOC, for example, bullied Andrew Yang, a leading candidate in New York City’s mayoral race.

Yang had condemned Hamas attacks against Israel. He had also expressed solidarity with the people of the Jewish nation. But Yang had to withdraw his remarks after AOC mocked him. The extremism within the Democratic Party is such that you cannot even afford to express solidarity with Israel.

However, Biden seems to hardly care about what extremists have to say. The Biden administration is unequivocally supporting Israel in the ongoing skirmishes against Hamas. Some legislators are even questioning the latest arms sales to the Jewish nation, but it doesn’t seem to make much difference for the Biden administration. The US President probably knows that the so-called progressives simply cannot mobilize enough strength to block his move to support Israel.

In fact, on Sunday, the United States of America reportedly blocked a United Nations statement condemning the Jewish nation for the third time in a single week. Despite all the pressure coming from American mainstream media and far-left Democrats, who used to think that Biden would function as per their whims and fancies, the US President has staunchly reaffirmed Israel’s right to defend itself in face of hostile actions by Hamas.

Biden’s support to Israel at a bilateral level, as well as in the United Nations is a huge diplomatic victory for the Jewish nation. Biden has stood up to the radicals in his party to meticulously guard Israel’s right to defend itself. His larger message to far-left Democrats is loud and clear- I don’t care what you say, I will keep supporting Israel.
