For the first time since the beginning of the Double U-Turn twist, two pairs (Brendon & Rachel and Vanessa & Ralph) survived elimination after being exposed to a U-Turn. Leg 10 was also the second time (after Leg 3 of Season 3) that a team (Bopper & Mark) who had won the Fast Forward was eliminated on the same leg. After Season 1, this was the second season in which the teams who finished in the top three in Leg 1 also finished the full season. Fast Forward, which had been absent for the previous two seasons, made a comeback this season.
