Hendricks has boosted his chances for an international call-up by making a superb 2012/13 first-class season by taking 35 wickets in 7 matches. Against India A his winter performances for South Africa A culminated in a match-winning by taking 11-wicket haul which is held in Pretoria.
This made him more popular that time for which received a call for the IPL where he was taken by Kings XI Punjab for a price of Rs 1.8 crore. In the year 2019, he was selected by Mumbai Indians to play in the IPL.

He made his debut in One Day International (ODI) in January 2019, as he was added to South Africa’s squad for the last three matches against Pakistan.
