Was Freedom Convoy sponsored by Putin? Trudeau gets his answer now

Back in January 2022, when the common Canadians were irking Ottawa in the form of a Freedom convoy, the federal government was at death’s door, this was the scale of the discontent against Trudeau’s illogical COVID-19 mandates.

At that time, Justin Trudeau imposed an emergency in the nation and thrashed the organizers of the protests behind bars. Furthermore, the whole blame for the protests was passed upon Moscow.

Trudeau and his pet media did try to place the blame on Russia for the mishap across the nation. Lies, however, don’t hold up for very long. The accusations and white falsehoods of ‘foreign interference’ made by Trudeau have turned out to be false.

On January 28th, when the freedom convoy or the truckers’ movement was at its peak, Liberal’s mouthpiece CBC all of a sudden passed the buck to Russia. According to CBC anchor of the show Power & Politics, Nil Kökorsalon, Russia was crucial in the organization and planning of the Truckers for Freedom Convoy.

This absurd statement was made by Nil Köksal during an interview with Liberal Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino as demonstrators arrived in Ottawa to oppose COVID-19 mandates.

Reportedly, Köksal asked, “Given Canada’s support of Ukraine in this current crisis with Russia, I don’t know if it is far-fetched to ask, but there is concern that Russian actors could be continuing to fuel things as this protest grows, perhaps even instigating it from the outside?”

Without even challenging the assertion, Marca Mendocino stated that he leaves the answer to his national security experts. The minister stressed, “Well again, I’m going to defer to our partners at Public Safety, the trained officials and experts in that area,”

Without any evidence to support the claim, this accusation was made public.  However, justice is finally served eleven months later. The CBC has come under fire from its own Ombudsman for peddling white lies.

CBC lied!

Taking action over a complaint filed back in January, the CBC Ombudsman has ruled that he is “disappointed that programmers” linked Russia to the Freedom Convoy during a Power & Politics segment with Liberal Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino.

Reportedly, the Ombudsman acknowledged its mistake and stressed, “ You (complainant) are correct. We should have included a direct attribution to a specific expert or security entity when framing that question. Apologies”

Furthermore, the CBC Ombudsman stressed, “though Russia is blamed pretty much every time something ‘goes wrong”, there’s absolutely no reason to speculate wildly about who might be involved in leading the anti-vax rally when there are people who are very clearly taking responsibility, calling themselves leaders (etc.). The simplest solution is usually the correct one, so why speculate about foreign interference?

This is the realm of conspiracy theories that are consistently run by media elites in Canada. It isn’t reporting facts, the question raised by Nil Köksalon was not at all based on any shred of evidence that suggests foreign influence.

Moreover, there have been no credible reports of Russian interference either in other domestic issues or any foreign policy.

A Full fledges campaign to pass the blame

The liberal media tried everything in its reach to pass the buck on Russia. At the very same moment when CBC raised questions over “Russian interference”, several Canadian media outlets came up with more stark assertions that Russia is trying its best to propagate a bad image of Canada.

A media report by the Tyee quoted: “Russia Today, or RT, a state-owned agency set up by President Vladimir Putin in 2005 with an annual budget of $400 million, has offered nearly twice as many articles: some 1,200 stories against Canada”

Global news cited that Russia Today (RT) covered Canada’s ‘so-called’ “Freedom Convoy” protests far more closely than any other international outlet, according to new research.

Trudeau knew that the discontent against him was enormous. So, he attempted to close the matter, citing it as ‘foreign interference.” Tragically, he succeeded.

By declaring a state of emergency and blaming the protesters for “foreign meddling,” a protest that could have put the liberal administration in Ottawa under siege was cast aside and crushed. This is the strength of the system run by the government and the Liberal media in the country, which deceived regular Canadians.
