The ‘chief twit’, Elon Musk, continues his plan to reinstate all the suspended accounts. Renowned Canadian author Meghan Murphy, who was once at loggerheads with the Canadian Liberal government, has also returned to the twitter.
According to the new media reports, Meghan Murphy’s Twitter account has been restored as free speech makes a comeback under Elon Musk on Twitter. Her account was reinstated Sunday amid a wave of reinstatements of other previously banned accounts, such as Project Veritas, Donald Trump, The Babylon Bee, and others.
Meghan Murphy was permanently suspended from the platform in 2018 by then Twitter legal head Vijaya Gadde for referring to Canadian trans activist and trans-identified biological male Jessica Yaniv as a ‘male’.
Meghan Murphy announced her return with a simple message of gratitude to Joe Rogan and Elon Musk for bringing her back on. “Raicilla for everyone!” She said after returning on Twitter.
The Yaniv controversy
Meghan Murphy was suspended by Vijaya Gadde because of a very absurd reason. In 2018, Jessica Yaniv, a Canadian man, who identifies himself as a transgender activist, sued a woman in British Columbia for not wanting to wax Yaniv’s male genitals.
When Yaniv brought the issue before the Human Rights Tribunal, Meghan Murphy did all in her power to criticize Yaniv.
The matter was a hot potato for the Canadian media, which was expressing solidarity with Yaniv. At that time, Meghan Murphy stated straight facts that he was naturally male and not a woman. After slamming Yaniv in a tweet, her account was permanently suspended a few hours later.
Murphy became a sitting duck for the liberals as a result of the dispute. She was attacked so frequently that she was forced to move from her residence in Vancouver to Mexico. The reinstatement of Meghan Murphy isn’t just a victory for free speech, it’s also a victory for reality.
A matter of concern for Trudeau
Furthermore, beyond a shadow of a doubt, her reinstatement means bad news for the liberal government in Ottawa because Meghan Murphy is a staunch critic of Justin Trudeau and his government in Ottawa.
Murphy has occasionally debunked Trudeau’s fake image and stressed that Trudeau is a political liberal who is making Canada, a global insult.
In an Al-Jazeera column, She had stressed that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is a perfect example of the problem with men’s self-proclaimed feminism, who have no idea what actual equality looks like.
Even going so far as to say that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had violated federal law by declaring an emergency in 2022, she emphasized that “the Canadian PM has misused emergency powers to crush the truckers’ peaceful protest.”
