Sri Rangji Mandir, also known as the Ranganath Ji Temple, is located a short distance from the Thakur Banke Bihari Ji Temple in Vrindavan. The huge and unique architecture of this temple has taken the attraction, equally the great faith of the devotees coming here. As you approach the temple, an experience like the temples of South India starts enveloping your mind. Like the temples of South India, the huge gopura means the entrance welcomes you. The temple is named after Lord Ranganatha, the Vishnu form of Sri Ramanujacharya, the founder of the Sri sect.

History of this Temple

Sri Rangji Mandir of Vrindavan built in Dravidian style was built by Seth Lakhmichand’s brothers Seth Govind Das and Radhakrishna Das. The temple was built on the basis of a style map of the Ranganatha temple in Madras given by his guru Acharya Swami Rangacharya. The temple also has a beautiful lake and a garden. In front of Lord Ranganath, there is a 60 feet high and about 20 feet sunken golden flag pillar in the ground. A museum is also located here in which golden idols are kept. The main gate of the temple is covered by a 93 feet high pavilion.
