Rani Sati Mandir is a very famous Hindu pilgrimage site located in Jhunjhunu in the state of Rajasthan, where a large number of devotees and tourists come every day to pay obeisance to Goddess Sati. Rani Sati Temple is one of the few temples in India which is dedicated to a particular person rather than a deity. The temple is situated on the hills of Jhunjhunu which also offers a panoramic view of the entire city which adds to the charm of the temple.
History of this Temple
The history of Rani Sati Mandir Jhunjhunu, it takes us back almost 400 years from today. According to the evidence and legends found in the temple, the presiding deity of the temple is Rani Sati who was a Rajasthani female queen. The real name of Rani Sati was Narayani which was named after her birth. It is believed that the husband of Narayani Devi or Rani Sati is killed during a war, after which Rani Sati avenges her husband’s death and commits Sati along with her husband. After which people also started considering Narayani Devi as the form of Adi Shakti. In this way, gradually people’s devotion towards Narayani Devi increased and she was worshiped as Rani Sati.

Rani Sati Mandir Jhunjhunu opens daily from 5.00 AM to 1.00 PM and from 3.00 PM to 10.00 PM. Devotees can come here sometime during this time to have darshan of grandmother or Rani Sati.

Khetri Mahal
Popularly known as Hawa Mahal, Khetri Mahal is one of the very famous places to visit in Jhunjhunu. Known as the Wind Palace, this fort has its roots dating back to the 1700s. Because it was established in 1770. Khetri Palace is considered a symbol of Shekhawati art and architecture.
Athu Haveli
Nawalgarh was called the city of gold before independent India. Because 22 out of 32 millionaires of the whole country used to reside here. There used to be about 210 havelis in Nawalgarh. Which is now slowly decreasing due to less handling. There are 8 havelis at one place near Nancha Gate of Nawalgarh, which are known as Athu Havelis.
Dundlod Fort

Lohargal Sun Kund
About 70 km from Jhunjhunu, Tirtha Raj Lohargal Sun Kund, situated in the lap of Aravalli mountain range, is famous all over the country. Lohargal Sun Temple is known for Pandavas exile and repentance. Lohargal is also known as Haridwar of Shekhawati.
