We Can’t decide who’s more racist: Quebec or Justin Trudeau

Quebec, with its blazing desire for independence, has been a thorn in Trudeau’s side since day one. It’s like a never-ending soap opera, with more plot twists than a telenovela. Will they stay or will they go? The drama just keeps getting interesting.

And then we have the language wars! Quebec also wants to protect its precious French language, which is admirable. But Trudeau’s government stresses it wants to adopt linguistic inclusivity and multiculturalism.

But wait, the jest doesn’t stop there! Now we enter the thrilling world of visa applications. The CAQ government in Quebec is eager to welcome international francophone students with open arms. They want these bright minds to study and stay in the province. But here’s the kicker – the federal immigration department, known as the IRCC, seems to have a sudden case of cold feet.

The French Racism

According to a media report by National Post, CAQ wants more international francophone students, and for them to stay after graduation. But, most of them can’t get visas, precisely because Ottawa is worried, they might stay.

The refusal rate for applications from African nations — a major source of francophone students — is a whopping 72 percent, compared to a 19 percent refusal rate for Asians and 11 percent for Europeans.

According to Emna Braham, the director-general of IDQ, and Daye Diallo, the chief economist, nearly half of the foreign students accepted by a Quebec university and who meet Quebec’s requirements are ultimately denied a student visa by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

But hold on, Trudeau ain’t innocent in this race either. There are also rumors that IRCC is possibly denying visa grants on the basis of religion as most of these visa applicants are Muslims and Christians.

JT’s Racism

Trudeau’s government has often faced backlash for its treatment of asylum seekers and visa applicants, especially those from predominantly African countries.

Trudeau has often shown his preference for selective assistance based on race and gender. Reports reveal that the federal government, in collaboration with LGBTQ advocacy group Rainbow Railroad, planned to resettle hundreds of Afghan refugees who fled persecution for their sexual orientation or gender identity.

While aiding oppressed individuals is commendable, it raises questions about Trudeau’s priorities. Why is he solely focused on helping some selective immigrants?

Both Quebec and Ottawa are playing a game of roulette with human lives – except the wheel is rigged, and the odds are stacked against the most vulnerable. None of the sides in this melodrama is correct,

Everyone fails to grasp the importance of inclusivity and diversity. Quebec’s desire to maintain a predominantly French-speaking population within its territory has been well-documented, showcasing its opposition to other communities. On the other hand, Justin Trudeau’s handling of the situation is equally absurd.

His apparent preference for white, non-religious individuals in Canada only adds to the race to the bottom between Quebec and himself. It is a disheartening spectacle that leaves the audience shaking their heads in disbelief.

Instead of vying for the crown of racism, how about uplifting all Canadians, regardless of their language, culture, or background? Imagine a country where genuine diversity and inclusion are the norms, where everyone can proudly display the acceptance medal.

That race is definitely worth watching! But for that, elections need to take place at the earliest. Because both, Legault and JT are an unsuitable duo for the job.
