Trump Has Finally Tamed Silicon Valley

As Trump’s return to the White House looms, suddenly everyone is scrambling to get on his good side. While the January 20th inauguration preperation is underway, some surprising faces are trying to cozy up to Trump 2.0.

In an unexpected move, Google and Facebook are now making friendly noises. The same tech giants who couldn’t stand Trump during his first term and basically wiped him off their platforms.

And yet now here they are, supposedly funding his inauguration like he’s some returning monarch. But the public sees through the sudden flip flop of Zuckerberg and Pichai, it is not a sudden change of heart but a convenient move.

Corporate America’s tech giants are now throwing money at Trump’s inauguration like there’s no tomorrow – a whopping $170 million and counting.

BIG TECHS FUNDING TRUMP INAUGURATION

The same companies that once kept their distance are now rushing in with million-dollar checks: Google, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, and even tech bigwigs like Sam Altman and Tim Cook.

Google’s not just stopping at the money – they’re rolling out the red carpet with plans to livestream the whole show. This coming from the company that once wanted to side step all Trump related content.

Meta has gone even further move takes the cake. Remember Zuckerberg’s big crusade with “fact-checking” in 2020? The same system that became a convenient tool for filtering out certain truths?

Now Zukerberg has done a dramatic pivot, supposedly planning to ditch the whole system. Since Trump’s electoral victory, Zuckerberg has made efforts to mend their relationship. This includes donating $1 million to Trump’s inaugural fund and promoting longtime conservative Joel Kaplan to become Meta’s new global policy chief.

ZUCKERBERG KNEELS TO DJT

So, what is Meta’s new game plan? First Meta plans to replicate Elon Musk’s X playbook with Community Notes, letting regular users play content police instead of those some expert fact-checkers. Zuckerberg has even admitted that this means they’ll “catch less bad stuff.”

And Trump’s response about whether his threats influenced this U-turn? A classic Trump “Probably.” There’s no beating around the bush there.

This isn’t just some small-scale experiment – we’re talking about changes affecting Facebook, Instagram, and Threads – that’s over 3 billion users worldwide. Meta’s now focusing only on the “high-severity” stuff like terrorism and child exploitation, basically giving everything else a longer leash.

There are multiple reasons behind this shift. The big techs want to expand their business through investments in other nations. But, there is definitely more than that.

While critics are raising red flags about more misinformation and hate speech flooding these platforms, it looks like Big Tech’s priority right now is getting back in Trump’s good graces.

The tech giants are finally reading the room—and it’s making them sweat. Why? because Trump’s not just coming back—he’s coming back stronger. Their past moves to sideline him might’ve back-fired spectacularly.

THE NEW TRUMP

While the Trump from the first term had some explosive Twitter rants and on-camera clashes. The new Trump is playing chess while they are playing checkers. He’s traded those public outbursts for something far more powerful – calculated silence and strategic moves.

This has got Big Tech scrambling. They’re not just making nice with million-dollar donations – they’re completely overhauling their systems. Because it seems they realize that their past attempts to “destroy Trump” have only made him stronger, more resilient, and frankly, more dangerous to their interests.

The same people who were busy raising red flags about misinformation, are now doing a complete 180° – not out of principle, but pure survival instinct. They’ve realized that Trump 2.0 won’t need loud tweets or public battles to settle scores. His revenge, as they fear, will come through quiet, calculated policies and that’s what’s got the liberal establishment shaking in their boots.

These tech giants aren’t just making peace offerings – they’re desperately trying to avoid being on the wrong side of what they now see as an unstoppable force. As they eye expansion into other nations, the last thing they need is a powerful enemy in the White House. And so, Trump’s mercy seems to be their last hope now.
