Since Donald Trump has come to office his administration have left no stone unturned in exposing and attempting to course correct US funds. The Department of Government Efficieny (DOGE) Ministry under Elon Musk has been specifically established for this very purpose and the USAID is now under its scanner.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is facing heavy criticism for misusing taxpayer money following a crackdown by the Trump administration, with the President calling it as an agency “run by radical lunatics.”
Trump, who has long been a critic of USAID, had signed an executive order halting foreign assistance for 90 days, vowing to eliminate what he called “waste, fraud, and abuse.”
Over the past few weeks shocking revelations have been made over the way USAID funding has been misused and misdirected. Millions of dollars of funds have been appropriated in bizarre programs more bent for social engineering and causing people to people divisions than actually promoting a quality foreign policy.
Trump and Musk have been exposing these so called programmes on a daily basis and the lists continue to shock. Here are some bizarre ways the American taxpayer money is being spent in nations all over the world.
The Shocking List
1. $15 Million For Condoms For Taliban: USAID has reportedly allocated $15 million worth of condoms to the Taliban in Afghanistan. The Taliban are a highly readicalized religious organization that has grabbed power in Kabul following the exit of the US. Why the US is spending on their contraceptives is itself a mystery.
2. $446,000 For Promoting Atheism In Nepal: USAID funnelled nearly half a million dollars to promote atheism in Nepal, the Hindu majority nation has no inimical issue with the US. However the USAID has been spending big money to remove its traditional culture and replace it with atheism.
3. $10M for Mozambique medical male circumcision: how male circumcision is related to the foreign policy of US no one knows. Much of the world is uncircumcised so why that is a priority spending for the US in Africa?
4. $1.5 million to promote LGBTQ in Serbia’s workplaces: Serbia has its own cultural history with strong links to Russia as a nation. Promoting forced diversity in its workplaces can only be seen as a way of social engineering the populace.
5. $1 million to boost French-speaking LGBTQ groups in West and Central Africa: another bizarre decision aimed to social engineer African populations.
6. $3.3 million for LGBTQ in the Caribbean: A huge chunk of money spent to promote diversity in the Caribbean islands. The islands have a close knit unique culture however such interventions will surely damage the peace of the locals.
7. $20,600 for drag shows in Ecuador, $47,020 for transgender operas in Colombia and $32,000 for an LGBTQ-centered comic book in Peru. $55,750 for LGBT journalists in Argentina. South America seems to be a very specific target.
8. $80,000 for an LGBTQ community center in Bratislava, Slovakia through the State Department.
9. $425,622 to make Indonesia coffee companies become more climate and gender friendly through USAID. Almost half a million spent on the DEI project in the South east nation.
10. $2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala while $70,000 have also been spent for production of a “DEI musical” in Ireland.
USAID spending
USAID disbursed $72 billion in fiscal year 2023, the most recent full year for which information is available. The most aid—more than $16 billion—was sent to Ukraine that year.
President Donald Trump’s adviser Elon Musk has said that President Trump had agreed USAID should be shut down. He has also affirmed that USAID’s work was “incredibly politically partisan” and that “it’s beyond repair.”
The future of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is in jeopardy due to cost-cutting measures proposed by President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk. Employees have been locked out, and the Trump administration is moving to merge USAID with the State Department, raising concerns about its ability to operate independently.
It can be hardly seen as a surprise with the shocking way the money has been spent. A businessman like Trump will hardly see these bizarre social engineering projects across the globe as some sort of investments for the US. Moreover it continues to drain the US taxpayer while generating a lot of international animosity for the United States for direct interference in scores of nations.
The bizarre and shocking list cements Trump’s views and certifies the worldwide disdain for American interference. This is only a portion of the complete spending and it is no surprise the Trump administration is bent on ending these outrageous expenses.
