When you gear the name Trump, you hear business. Now the US President has played a masterstroke. As France’s Emmanuel Macron waited to greet Trump at the White House on Monday, Donald Trump dropped a bombshell on the EU.
Trump said he was in talks with Putin to strike a major economic deal with Russia. This is unprecedented. Russia and Ukraine were at war with each other before Trump came. The US was just splurging money on Ukraine. And now, Trump is getting the best deal for American taxpayers from both countries.
Here’s what Trump wrote on his Truth Social: “I am in serious discussions with President Vladimir Putin of Russia concerning the ending of the War, and also major Economic Development transactions which will take place between the United States and Russia. Talks are proceeding very well!”
And just as Trump made this revelation, Russia responded.
The Kremlin said, well, we are ready!
“Russia is open for US-Russia economic cooperation and believes such cooperation is key for more resilient global economy,” said Putin’s envoy Kirill Dmitriev.
Trump and Russia are really close to an economic deal it seems. But the complete details have not been disclosed. It could be about co-operation in the Arctic. It could be about the Northern Sea Route. Both Trump and Putin together can rule the global trading routes around the Arctic. Arctic is where the real treasure trove lies. It’s unexplored, the ice is melting and it means a plethora of opportunities. That’s why Trump is so keen on expanding his control over Greenland as the US president.
Let’s talk about the other deal now. The deal with Zelensky over minerals.
Trump announced on Monday that Ukraine’s Zelensky is expected to visit Washington in the coming weeks to finalise an agreement on a rare earths minerals deal. Earlier in the day, the deputy PM of Ukraine announced his nation was very close to reaching the deal with the US.
All in all, Trump is getting the best of both worlds. One economic deal from Russia. And the other from Ukraine. And the world gets peace. Already we are seeing the war in Gaza has stopped. However, foolish Hamas fighters are trying hard to restart the war by humiliating Israeli captives.
Similarly, Zelensky is trying hard to scuttle peace efforts by both Russia and Ukraine. Zelensky is backed by incompetent and useless leaders of Europe, which still believe Ukraine can win this war.

Similarly, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala proposed a suicidal idea on Monday. The man claimed that Europe should use money from frozen Russian assets for further military support of Ukraine.
These leaders seem to be stuck in time. On one hand, you have Trump talking about peace, saying the war could end within weeks. On the other hand, you have leaders like Trudeau and Petr Fiala, who are devising new ways every day to keep the war machinery up and running. They are not Russia’s enemies, they are the enemies of their own people.
While Trump regardless of these roadblocks is driving his end of the bargain to ensure a safe and peaceful future for America and the world.
