This was Modi at his best. Casting a spell on the listeners with his unparalleled oratory. US Congress men rose, cheered and clapped to welcome His Excellency Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of Republic of India.

There were a 66 clapping interventions and 9 Standing Ovations by the US Congress men. Although I do not if they maintain this sort of record or not, but this has to be the most applauded speech by a foreign PM to the US Congress. PM Modi touched base with almost every issue that connected the world’s biggest democracy with the world’s oldest.

Modi’s US Congress speech was Historic. Inspiring. Powerful. No Holds barred. The echoes of it will reverberate forever.

Our 65 Year old Rock star did it again. On a foreign land. In English language. Extempore.
