Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a five-nation tour in early July, beginning with Morocco, followed by visits to Argentina, Trinidad and Tobago, Jordan, and Brazil to expand India’s global influence and reinforce its determination to shape international discourse amid rapidly shifting geopolitical dynamics.

The tour underscores India’s growing ambition to lead the Global South and deepen international cooperation on security, particularly in the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack. It will also aim to enhance India’s presence in multilateral platforms and broaden its partnerships across key regions.

During the visit, India is expected to pursue stronger collaboration in trade, food and energy security, and counterterrorism—sectors central to its global outreach strategy.

The first stop will be Morocco, where Prime Minister Modi is likely to meet King Mohammed VI. Discussions will focus on strengthening ties in areas such as security, renewable energy, fertilizer supply, and trade. As a rising power in North Africa with strategic influence extending into West Africa and Europe, Morocco is increasingly seen as a vital partner in India’s foreign policy vision.

From Morocco, PM Modi will travel to Argentina, where the agenda will include boosting cooperation in agriculture, defence, and critical minerals—especially lithium, a resource crucial for India’s clean energy and electric vehicle initiatives. The visit is expected to reinforce Argentina’s role in India’s evolving engagement with Latin America.

Next, the Prime Minister will visit Trinidad and Tobago, tapping into strong cultural and diaspora connections while seeking to advance collaboration in trade, technology, and development. With the Caribbean region gaining strategic relevance, India is looking to expand its influence through sustained economic and diplomatic outreach.

In Jordan, PM Modi is scheduled to meet King Abdullah II to discuss regional security, counterterrorism efforts, and religious tourism. India views Jordan as a stable and moderate voice in West Asia, and an essential partner in fostering peace and stability across the region.

The final leg of PM Modi’s tour will be Brazil, where he will participate in the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro from July 6 to 7. Leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa will gather to address key global challenges, including reforms in global governance, climate change financing, artificial intelligence governance, public health, and economic cooperation. Under Brazil’s presidency, the summit will also bring together leaders from countries such as Indonesia, the UAE, Egypt, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Kazakhstan, providing India with additional opportunities to widen its diplomatic reach.

PM Modi’s tour will help expand India’s global vision and reinforce its determination to shape international discourse amid rapidly shifting geopolitical dynamics. It positions India not just as a regional power, but as a confident and leading voice of the developing world.”
