Is Iran trying to re-enact 9/11 in America? At this point, nothing can be ruled out

News reports have brought to fore a bone-chilling conspiracy. The US Federal law enforcement is investigating a chilling threat to hit the Capitol building with a plane sent to New York air traffic controllers Monday. This becomes all the more serious as the tensions between the USA and Iran are on a constant rise.

The US officials are investigating this terrifying message threatening to fly a plane into the Capitol building to avenge the death of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. It was the fact that it was broadcasted on air traffic control frequencies which were more concerning. In an audio message, an unidentified voice says, “We are flying a plane into the Capitol on Wednesday. Soleimani will be avenged.” This can very well be the Iranian attempt to re-enact the 9/11 in the USA and as things stand, it cannot be ruled out.

With just ahead of the first anniversary of the assassination of Iran’s top General Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards also warned Iran would respond forcefully to any provocations. “Today, we have no problem, concern or apprehension toward encountering any powers. We will give our final words to our enemies on the battlefield.”

In addition to this, the Iranian Foreign Minister has also taken a hard stance concerning the USA and has told that Iran is ready to for any adversity that is thrown at it.

Both the US and Israel have reportedly deployed submarines to the Persian Gulf in recent days. (The USS Georgia is notably armed with 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles.) The US has also flown nuclear-capable B-52 bombers to the region in a show of force.

And in another worrying sign, the acting US defence secretary, Christopher Miller, announced over the weekend the US would not withdraw the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz and its strike group from the Middle East — a swift reversal from the Pentagon’s earlier decision to send the ship home.

Late last month, Trump issued a warning to Tehran. He tweeted, “Our embassy in Baghdad got hit Sunday by several rockets. Three rockets failed to launch. Guess where they were from IRAN. Now we hear the chatter of additional attacks against Americans in Iraq…” He also warned, “If one American is killed, I will hold Iran responsible. Think it over.”

The Iranians have been cornered to such an extent that they can go to any extent. The Trump administration’s biggest win, concerning the USA’s Iran policy, was that he called off the facade of Nuclear Deal. And all the things that transpired afterwards, have sent Iran on the brink of failure, however, it has not deterred it from supporting terrorists as well as activities that destabilise the region.

The sanctions by the USA on the Iranians and US support to the movements in authoritarian Iran have been a consistent phenomenon. Even recently, the United States on Tuesday blacklisted a Chinese company that makes elements for steel production, 12 Iranian steel and metals makers and three foreign-based sales agents of Iranian metals and mining holding company, seeking to deprive Iran of revenues as U.S. President Donald Trump’s term winds down, as reported by Reuters.

General Qassem Soleimani, the former head of Iran’s Quds Force, the external operations branch of the country’s Islamic Guard Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was the most celebrated general and a celebrity of the Iranians. His assassination was followed by Iranians fuming and threatening the USA of consequences. Thus, even if it is not clear who sent the message, but the Pentagon and other agencies were briefed on Tuesday and with things heating up, one cannot deny that Iran could try to re-enact the 9/11.
