US Vice President Kamala Harris has been deputised by President Joe Biden to fix the ongoing border crisis which has ravaged the southern states. The illegal immigrants are surging on the border, living in subhuman conditions. But the person-in-charge to fix the situation is getting frustrated with the ongoing renovations at her mansion.
As government officials prepare to volunteer their time to help keep American borders secure, CNN reports that Harris is upset with the Vice President’s mansion’s continuing renovations, requiring her and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff to temporarily stay at Blair House, the President’s official guest quarters.
Vice President Kamala Harris has remained deafeningly quiet as the immigration crisis at the southern border spirals out of control. Even though Harris was named to lead the response to border challenges by President Biden on Wednesday, there are no plans for her to travel south or even address the subject. Harris had no activities this past weekend, according to the Vice President’s Office, and no mention of border-related violence.
The administration has provided no reason for the renovation delays, leading to reports that the Vice President is living “out of suitcases” as the country wonders why she has not packed those suitcases for a border tour.
Harris, in fact, laughed in response to a reporter’s query on Monday about whether she would be moving south anytime soon. “Not yet,” she said with a cackle, according to another.
This comes as the Biden administration seeks government volunteers to assist in the management of the migrant influx. According to Fox News, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has sent memos to department heads requesting “volunteer deployments” for up to 120 days.
“We are actively working to screen, process and deploy these volunteers while continuing our recruitment efforts and exploration of other avenues to bolster staff resources at the border,” an OPM spokesperson said.
The situation at the southern borders of the USA has been escalating to a very grave extent. However, despite solving the problem in its entirety, the Biden administration has been following the policy of either pushing the problems under the rug or just stop the media from reporting the issues and voila, the problem is solved!
As Joe Biden was not able to handle the situation and wanted to save face, he stated that he will be handing over the handling of the border situation to Vice President Kamala Harris. But Harris herself has been pulling her hands back – claiming to be in charge of the “root causes” of what is happening at the border, but not the border itself.
Immigration has been one of the biggest issues for the Biden administration. The recklessness and the ineptitude displayed to reverse the border policies of the previous administration has engulfed the southern states into a full-blown crisis. Even though he did deputise the Vice president to solve it, Kamala Harris is busy with the renovations at her Vice Presidential mansion. She seems to be least concerned about the ongoing border crisis. But putting the renovations of her mansion at the top of her to-do list while the nation suffers massively it would not be wrong to say that she has got her priorities all mixed up.
