Devlin Barrett is an American journalist who currently works as a reporter for the Washington Post in Washington, DC, USA, mainly on national security and law enforcement issues. He was part of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize-winning national journalism team for their coverage of Russian interference in the US elections. In 2017, he was one of the finalists for the Pulitzer Prize for Writing and the Pulitzer Prize for International Journalism.

Devlin Barrett, 44, graduated from Troy High School and McGill University in Montreal, where he received a bachelor’s degree in history and political science.
In 2016, he was shortlisted for two awards for his work at The Wall Street Journal (before joining The Washington Post in 2017, he was a national security reporter there for seven years). He is a member of the Post’s team of reporters who recently shared the 2018 Pulitzer National Journalism Awards with the New York Times. The Post team won by reporting that Russia tried to influence the 2016 US presidential election.
