David Barrett’s works

Barrett co-authored an article that revealed some new details of the FBI whistleblower’s conversations with Trump officials during the presidential campaign. Devlin Barrett said that he and his colleagues are fully aware that their work is being studied.

He spends most of his time checking facts about Trump, his aides, and their claims. Over the years, Devlin Barrett created high-level sources in the FBI and law enforcement, but the specter of indictments during the investigation of Special Advisor Robert Mueller made these sources extremely suspicious.

Devlin Barrett –  Career in Journalism

Barrett’s journalism career includes eight years with the New York Post, eight years with the Associated Press, seven years with the Wall Street Journal, and one year with the Washington Post, where he reported on the FBI and the Department of Justice.

During the last Presidential elections Devlin Barrett offered a behind-the-scenes look at the accumulation and impact of the story-changing announcement by James Comey that the FBI is reopening its investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails.

Comey’s letter to Congress just 11 days before election day 2016 announcing the reopening of an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails is one of the most significant October surprises ever recorded. The incident that broke the Hillary Blue Wall in the Midwest and shook Florida and North Carolina was unexpected in October and was entirely the result of FBI leadership. The 2016 election that changed American political history was not decided by Russians, Ukrainians, or Steve Bannon.
