Ukraine might just attack Russian ships ferrying food grains out of the warzone

The myth that Moscow has enforced a food embargo on Europe is unfounded, and similar assertions are already beginning to crumble. The brutal truth of the fight is being more widely recognised as the crisis in Ukraine intensifies. There is no doubt that Moscow has been using every effort to persuade Kyiv to resume wheat shipments. Instead, it is Ukraine that is causing trouble for the rest of the globe for access to its highly sought-after food reserves.

Despite the continuous persuasion by Russia, Ukraine isn’t ready to allow the shipments of wheat from its ports until the selfish interests of Kyiv get fulfilled. This has left Europe, a key trading partner of different agri-food products with both Russia and Ukraine, in the lurch. Zelensky’s extortion bid has brought the continent of Europe to its knees and forced the Western nations to concur with the demands of the war-torn country.

You see, Ukraine has been demanding anti-ship missiles from Europe ever since the Russia-Ukraine war broke out. The warring country has unreservedly refused to release the shipments of wheat from its ports until its demands for anti-ship missiles from Europe are met.

According to a study by Illinois, Ukraine may have 75 million tonnes of grain in its stockpile but, when it comes to feeding the people of Europe, Ukraine has flatly declined to provide assistance. Make no mistake, Ukraine is blackmailing Europe to lend its weapons to Kyiv by threatening the continent with massive starvation.

Turkey making efforts to aid the EU

Meanwhile, Turkey has been making efforts to help the Europeans out of the hunger crisis but Ukraine seems to bash this as well. Turkey recently proposed a grain corridor to facilitate the export of grains from Ukraine. The proposal called for Ankara to accompany the grain ships into international seas, where they would then be escorted by Russian warships to the Bosphorus Strait, from where they would be exported further. Russia readily agreed to the idea, but Turkey’s efforts were hampered by Ukraine’s denial.

Ukraine was unwilling to demine the ports through which its grains could be exported to Europe or rather to the rest of the world. Don’t be mistaken, Ukraine has refused to accept the Turkish proposal of transferring the grains through the Bosphorus strait in the Russian ships just to get its demands fulfilled. Ukraine has even called for a ship, which is currently lying off the Turkish coast, carrying grain from a Russian-occupied part of the country, to be seized.

Ukraine posing as an obstacle

You see, Russia and Turkey, trying to render aid to the hunger-stricken Europeans are facing hindrances from Ukraine. Ukraine will never allow the two countries to realise their noble aim of sending aid to all the nations engulfed with severe food crises. Kyiv is very well aware of the consequences of this move. If Europe gets the required amount of grain it will stop sending help to Ukraine. And Ukraine will never let that happen.

It will be no wonder if Ukraine attacks Russian ships that are ferrying food grains out of the war zone. Ukraine has been demonising Russia ever since the war broke out between the two countries but now the world knows who is the real perpetrator of the burgeoning food crisis in Europe.
