History of Maa Kali Temple

Maa Daat Kali Temple was built on 13 June 1804 AD when the construction work of Dehradun-Sahanpur highway was being done there. It is believed that Maa Kali appeared in the dream of the engineer, who gave the idol of Goddess Kali to Mahant Sukhbir Gusain for the establishment of the temple. Which is still installed in the temple of the valley. This is called ‘Daat Kali Temple’.

The specialty of Maa Daat Kali Temple is that a divine flame is burning here which has been burning continuously since 1921. Whenever people around here buy a new vehicle, they come to Maa Daat Kali temple for worship in this temple. Here the temple is located on the side of Dehradun-Sahanpur road, so whoever passes by here definitely takes blessings of Maa Kali and offers oil, ghee, flour and other things in the temple. There is also a big hall in this temple where people can take rest.
