According to some HR experts, this most recent trend has evolved as Canadians continue to assess their working circumstances and flexibility throughout the epidemic. It is the result of a collision of opportunity and angst in the workforce.

In essence, Amanda, who worked in digital marketing for an Ottawa brewery, felt underpaid and overworked. Later she learned that her boss was intending to recruit a person with whom she didn’t get along.
According to the business, which specialised in connecting people in such sectors with companies, half of the respondents indicated they intended to look for a new job this year. This increased from 30% of respondents in a more limited study conducted six months earlier.
