The cruel comedian, who is hiding in Ukraine’s presidential palace, has still not learnt the lesson that his diplomatic and political measures aimed to destroy Russia from the geopolitical order will never work. It is extremely cruel and insensitive on Zelensky’s directionless actions on Moscow instead result in adverse repercussions on the Ukrainian people.
Instead of taking care of Ukrainian civilians, Zelensky keeps picking meaningless fights. In fact, his latest target is the European bank, Raiffeisen, which is being falsely accused by Kyiv of supporting the Russian war effort in Donetsk and Luhansk.
The Ukrainian government has even taken the step of adding Raiffeisen to the NACP list of international sponsors of war. Similarly, in addition to Raiffeisen, Zelensky is also taking action against German chain Metro for doing business in Russia, presumably hoping that it will feel the pinch and cease activities there.

It’s a strange decision, as it’s not clear what he’s hoping to gain by taking on the banking sector. Does he think it will make Russia more willing to end the war? Does he think it will put pressure on Russia to change its policies? It must also be noted that despite the fact that both geopolitical players have provided massive economic and military assistance to Ukraine till now, Ukraine ignored the fact that both giant business entities are important to the European Union and Germany’s economies.
Therefore, It is clear that these selfish and aimless sanctions are misguided and won’t do anything to bring an end to the conflict. It’s hard to take Zelensky’s actions seriously when he’s making decisions like this. He’s shooting himself in the foot and making the Ukrainian people suffer in the process. It’s time for Zelensky to stop picking fights and start focusing on solutions for himself and his people.
