RCMP Attempts to Investigate Trudeau, Ends with a Closed Case and Humiliation

This week kicked off with a confusing rollercoaster for 81% of Canadians who desperately wanted Trudeau gone. The RCMP was all set to dish out some sweet justice, but then poof something truly spectacular swooped in and turned the tables. Oh, the suspense!

In the unpredictable landscape of Trudeau’s Canada, where scandals seem to sprout like wildflowers, it’s hard to keep up with the ruckus. But now and then, the ruckus becomes too overwhelming, even for the most seasoned observers.

Enter the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and their fascinating dance with Justin Trudeau. These two entities have become so intertwined that it’s hard to tell where one begins and the other ends. The RCMP, with its admitted rogues and a rap sheet that could reduce you to tears, has often found itself in the spotlight alongside the Prime Minister.

Who could forget the RCMP’s relentless pursuit of the truckers? Trudeau wasted no time declaring their protest as anti-national, a threat to Canada’s security. The tension between the truckers and the RCMP was palpable, with the latter openly criticizing Trudeau’s soft-handed approach to criminals. But as expected, the RCMP’s dissenting voice was swiftly silenced by Trudeau’s measures.

RCMP’s massive announcement

Recently, a new chapter unfolded in the RCMP-Trudeau saga, with the RCMP making a bombshell announcement. On June 19th, reports flooded the online sphere, claiming that the RCMP confirmed an investigation into obstruction of the SNC-Lavalin prosecution by Trudeau and his Cabinet officials.

The RCMP even disclosed a 96-page document, though most of it was frustratingly redacted due to the ongoing investigation.

This public statement marked the first time the RCMP addressed the situation since August 14, 2019, when they cautiously mentioned examining the matter. It was later revealed that during the fall 2019 federal election campaign, the RCMP had put their examination on hold, as Ian Shugart, then-Clerk of the Privy Council, refused to waive Cabinet confidence, preventing government witnesses from providing full information to the RCMP.

The allegations stated that Trudeau shamelessly attempted to influence Jody Wilson-Raybould in favor of SNC-Lavalin’s private interests. Moreover, it accused Trudeau and his office of abusing their power to undermine and discredit her claims.

The charges, if proven, would have brought Trudeau’s political career to a screeching halt, carrying the weight of a ten-year imprisonment. Unsurprisingly, the news sent shockwaves throughout Canada.

However, in a baffling turn of events, something extraordinary occurred in just two short hours.

RCMP goes Sorry

The RCMP, via their Twitter handle, declared that they were not investigating allegations of political interference in the SNC-Lavalin trial. They cited insufficient evidence of criminality, despite prior indications given to a democracy watchdog that an investigation was indeed underway.

The abrupt U-turn left many scratching their heads. How could such a colossal matter be dropped in a mere two hours? The RCMP faced a barrage of criticism from netizens who accused them of losing their touch and simply following in Trudeau’s footsteps.

Some even speculated that backdoor calls had pressured the RCMP to drop the charges. While the truth remains elusive, the possibilities and the RCMP’s history of questionable incidents make one wonder: Was Trudeau and his liberal cohorts behind this cunning maneuver? And why did the RCMP seemingly lose its nerve?

Canadians are left with more questions than answers as they question the motivations behind the closed case and the RCMP’s humiliation. Only time will tell whether the truth in this enthralling saga of power, politics, and unexpected alliances is ever fully revealed. But one thing is certain: the RCMP lacks the courage to act independently and challenge its superiors.
