Biden is staging a dramatic farewell tour, crafting a legacy that’s more toxic than transformative. As he prepares to exit the political stage, he’s orchestrating a series of controversial moves designed to protect his interests and pass the blame onto his successor, Donald Trump.
The most glaring example? His recent pardon of son Hunter Biden for gun-related crimes—a decision that ignited a nationwide firestorm of criticism. The hypocrisy is palpable: Biden rushes to shield his family while simultaneously condemning Trump’s potential pardons of his supporters.
Democrats are crying foul, but the irony is thick. They seem to have conveniently forgotten who set this precedent of presidential clemency.
PARDON FOR JAN 6 UNREST: TRUMP CONFIRMS
In his first network TV interview since winning the election, President-elect Trump outlined his immediate priorities, signaling a swift and decisive approach to key campaign promises.
Speaking to NBC News’ Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press”, Trump emphasized his focus on economics, energy, and border security. “We’re gonna immediately strengthen up the border and do a real job,” he declared, reaffirming his commitment to immigration reform.
Trump also addressed the controversial topic of Jan. 6 Capitol riot participants, doubling down on his promise to pardon those arrested. “We’re looking at it right now,” he stated, suggesting most would likely be pardoned. He argued that those arrested, including those who assaulted police officers, “had no choice” but to plead guilty.
With over 1,500 people arrested and nearly 900 pleading guilty, Trump promised to review individual cases “very quickly”. He went further, suggesting that members of the Jan. 6 investigation committee “should go to jail” for their actions.
While claiming he won’t direct FBI or DOJ nominees to target political rivals, Trump’s statements reveal a potentially aggressive approach to post-election political dynamics.
The Timing is also very spectacular of this announcement as Biden pardoned his son Hunter.
WHO STARTED THE PARDON GAME?
Biden has brazenly betrayed his own public commitment, reversing his repeated promises not to pardon his son Hunter. Before and after dropping out of the 2024 presidential race, both Biden and his White House spokesperson had unequivocally stated he would not intervene in Hunter’s legal troubles.
The sudden pardon effectively shields Hunter from potential imprisonment, with scheduled sentencing hearings for gun and tax-related charges likely to be canceled. Biden’s justification? The charges were “politically motivated” – a convenient narrative that reeks of familial protection over legal integrity.
The hypocrisy is stunning. When Biden pardons his son, Democratic Party loyalists remain conspicuously silent. Yet, the moment Trump suggests pardoning his supporters, those same voices erupt in outrage.
The Democrats’ playbook is becoming increasingly transparent. While they’ve consistently painted the Capitol protestors as violent criminals, their own narrative is unraveling under scrutiny.
Rep. Brendan Boyle and other Democrats are now actively pushing Biden to issue preemptive pardons, allegedly to prevent potential retribution from Trump. Their narrative suggests an imminent threat, but the reality tells a different story.
THE LONG AWAITED JUSTICE…
These same Democrats who vehemently claimed Trump instigated the Capitol unrest are now scrambling to protect themselves. They label the protestors as “criminals” without substantial evidence, yet conveniently ignore the harsh conditions these individuals are enduring.
The January 6th aftermath paints a stark picture of unprecedented legal prosecution. In just 32 months, 378 individuals have been sentenced to imprisonment, stemming from their involvement in what prosecutors characterize as an “attempted overthrow” of the 2020 election certification.
The numbers are staggering: over 1,146 people from every single state and Washington D.C. have been charged with various offenses related to the Capitol event. The FBI has further noted that seven individuals remain at large, still facing charges. Some are in jail even without concrete evidences.
These statistics reveal more than just legal proceedings – they expose a systemic approach to prosecuting what many argue are political protesters. The scale of charges, the breadth of geographical representation, and the severity of sentences suggest a coordinated effort to make an example of these individuals.
But, Trump has decided to serve justice and pardon all those who’re paying for a peaceful procession. And so, the same liberals are denouncing Trump’s potential pardons. The same clan which was silent when Biden extended mercy to his own son is now seething and honestly nothing can be more poetic than this move.
