Canada’s healthcare system is on ventilator support now

Canada’s healthcare system is on ventilator support now

Trudeau has been making false promises to Canadians for a long time. Where has it led Canada? Well, into a state of devastation. The country’s healthcare system is in tatters. Who is responsible for that? Obviously, Trudeau and his fake hopes.

Trudeau has risked the lives of a million innocent Canadians. Hospital emergency rooms are experiencing a crisis with backlogs, delayed services, and temporary closures

Furthermore, the promise of accessibility is the cornerstone of the Canadian healthcare system. That is an unfulfilled promise to everyone who does not have a family physician. According to data from Statistics Canada, 14.5% of Canadians aged 12 and over, or 4.6 million people, did not have a regular health care provider in 2019.

The bigger problem is that the solutions to all the aforementioned issues still remain elusive. In 2021, 2,400 family physician vacancies were posted on job platforms, according to the Canadian Medical Association; slightly over 1,400 family physicians began practising the year before. Family medicine was the speciality chosen by 32% of medical graduates in 2021, down from 39% in 2015.

Both the health of individual Canadians and the state of the healthcare system are significantly impacted by the deficit. But, where is Trudeau? Certainly, missing in action. At times, when so many things are falling apart in Canada, liberal poster boy, Justin Trudeau is nowhere to be seen. He’s absconding from facing the grave crisis that Canada is reeling under.

Shortage of Epidurals

Canadian provincial healthcare systems are sounding an alarm about a paucity of epidurals that has been caused due to global supply chain issues. Epidurals are the main pain managers used for pregnant women in labour.

It might be troubling for us to learn about the looming problem but not for the Liberal fanatic Trudeau. With hospitals going through rolling closures of their Emergency Rooms and other departments, some small hospitals shutting down for full weekends, and others randomly closing overnight in the middle of the week, Canadians should be scandalised by such a drastic turn of events.

Canada’s premiers have been urging the Federal government to  “stop communicating through the press and sit down with them to talk about the future of healthcare expenditure”. However, the Liberal administration is not even prepared to hear about their issues.

Trudeau made false commitments

B.C. Premier John Horgan, this year’s chair of the Council of the Federation, claimed that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a commitment to the premiers that the two parties would meet to discuss the future of health-care financing in Canada when the pandemic public health emergency was resolved. But guess what? He never appeared. No such meeting has been set and Horgan’s calls for a sit-down meeting have gone unanswered.

You see, the premiers believe that the federal government must engage with them individually because each province’s health system has different needs. They have repeatedly demanded that the federal government’s share in healthcare costs should be “ramped up from 22 per cent to 35 per cent and maintained at that level over time”. The federal government, however, has consistently resisted these demands. The premiers have alleged that such a proposition that enforces the PM to dismiss meeting with them is an insult in itself.

With each passing day, Trudeau is pushing Canada closer to a grave health care crisis.  Make no mistake, by running away from holding a meaningful discussion with the premiers and by refusing to address the lack of funding by the federal government in health care, Trudeau is risking the lives of millions of innocent Canadians.
