Iran is desperate to assassinate Trump. Biden’s response: a cowardly request to Iran

We are getting some shocking information from the US. The Biden administration has requested Iran to stop pursuing the case of Qassem Soleimani’s killing. The US is saying that not avenging Soleimani’s death is one of the preconditions for removing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from the Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) list.

Now, it gives an answer about the weak face that Biden put up against the saber-rattling from Iran and it poses some really tough questions about his security planning.

US security bodies flag concern about Iran’s plans

It has been reported that the US security bodies have precise intelligence about Iran’s plans to take action against several Trump administration officials. Tehran is targeting Trump administration officials who are believed to have been engaged in killing Soleimani.

A US source told Iran International English, “Under such circumstances, it’s not possible for the US to accept Islamic Republic’s demand.”

IRGC’s threats

Soleimani was the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)’s elite Quds Force. Therefore, IRGC is at the center of Iran’s plans to target former US President Donald Trump and the officials in his administration.

It was recently reported that two Quds Force agents have been conspiring to assassinate former US National Security Adviser John Bolton. The Washington Examiner quoted a Justice Department official as saying that there was enough evidence to take legal action against the Iranians. However, the Trump administration is resisting plans to indict the Iranians because it doesn’t want the Iran nuclear deal negotiations to get derailed.

The source added that “the seriousness of the conspiracy and the evidence warranted public indictment without delay”. Apparently, the IRGC also attempted recruitment of an assassin on American soil.

Iran has also threatened former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former President Donald Trump himself. In January, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said that Trump and others “will pay for their crime.”

How Biden is bringing shame to the US?

It is rather absurd that the Biden administration is not toughening its stance on Iran, despite Tehran’s preposterous plans against a former US President and officials.

Ideally, you would have expected the US President to say that the US security agencies will protect Trump and Trump administration officials, no matter what. He should have warned Tehran that if it doesn’t abandon its nefarious plans, then it will have to face some devastating consequences. This is how Trump managed to destroy it economically and politically in a matter of just four years.

But what is Biden doing? Well, he is shielding two Quds Force agents who are plotting Bolton’s assassination. Had Trump been in his place, he would have already started punishing Iranians with tougher sanctions and perhaps even a bold military operation.

However, Biden is actually negotiating a quid-pro-quo with the Iranians, which doesn’t augur well for USA’s global reputation. Biden is reducing the US, which was once a military superpower, into a weak negotiator. And when you look at it from this perspective, you realize that Biden’s obsession with the Iran nuclear deal is actually bringing a lot of shame to the United States of America.
